Brad Cochopo

Instructor

Despite growing up in San Jose, California, Brad’s passion for nature and the outdoors started at a very young age. Whether he was on family vacations to the Sierra Nevadas or exploring his neighborhood’s open spaces, Brad became mesmerized with the natural world and all of the flora and fauna that call it home.

Brad moved to Bozeman in 2013 to attend Montana State University where he pursued a degree in Fish and Wildlife Management to further his understanding of the environments that surround us. After a short summer of ecology field work, Brad decided to go back to MSU and switch his career path to education where he could share his admiration for the outdoors with younger generations. He is now a Life Science teacher at Belgrade Middle School and has the privilege of educating 7th graders on how the living world around us operates. Brad spends his summers camping, fishing and being an instructor for the Montana Outdoor Science School. Brad feels that the best way to truly comprehend our natural world is to go play in it and experience phenomena first-hand; the exact opportunity that MOSS provides to the youth of the Gallatin Valley.
