Emily Krieger
Director
Emily lives with her family in Bozeman and spends her time both personally and professionally getting kids and adults excited about nature. Since 2009, she’s been an independent fact-checker, writer, and editor specializing in science and children’s content. She’s written more than a dozen books for National Geographic Kids, edited the Science News childhood development blog Growth Curve, and regularly fact-checks popular science books and Radiolab episodes. She grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, and lived in D.C. and Seattle for two decades before moving to Bozeman, where her husband hails from. She considers urban animals her neighbors, with personalities and routines akin to their human counterparts. Her favorite trails are the ones in town that are easily accessible and offer mid-day moments of wonder and awe, both big and small.
