Homeschool Programs

Hands-on science. Outdoor learning. Community connection.

MOSS Homeschool Programs offer enriching, science-based experiences for homeschool families seeking dynamic outdoor education. Designed for learners grades K-6, our programs blend inquiry-based exploration with environmental science, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep connection to the natural world. Classes are led by professional outdoor educators and include seasonal themes, field investigations, and collaborative projects — all while building community among local homeschooling families.

2025 Autumn Homeschool Program

Join MOSS for a deep dive into the natural science of our local landscape while learning about the many elements of the Gallatin River Watershed. Through field trips, hands-on science, and outdoor exploration, we will get to know the plants and animals in our ecosystem, the importance of snow and water to people, and what happens during seasonal transitions. Students will get a chance to become experts on a watershed topic of their choosing and present their findings to friends and family at the end of the 8-week session.
