Family Gatherings
MOSS Family Gatherings are casual, family-friendly opportunities to meet our instructors and staff, learn about upcoming programs, and connect with other families who love getting kids outside. Whether you’ve been long-time MOSS participants or are just starting to explore what we offer, we’d love to have you join us!
Each attendee will receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win early registration to MOSS camps. Skip the stress of registration day and have your choice of themes and dates for summer 2026! Early registration is limited to one per family and two camps per child.

Join us to meet MOSS staff and learn more about 2026 summer camps! After brief introductions and summer updates, we’ll head out for a ski on our lighted loop to explore Crosscut’s trails. Ski rentals are available.

Summer camp is off to an amazing start and we’re loving every minute of exploring, discovering, and adventuring outside! Let’s celebrate together at our Ice Cream Socials – a sweet way to connect with fellow campers, families, and MOSS community. Join us on July 10 and August 5, from 2:30-5pm at Story Mill Community Park!
All MOSS campers, families, instructors (past & present), and community supporters are invited. Come enjoy a scoop of ice cream, connect with us, win a prize in our raffle giveaway, and get hands-on with skull and pelt ID – a fun way to keep the learning going. We’ll see you there!

Montana Outdoor Science School was the the MAP Brewing Pint Night Partner for March 2025! $0.50 of every beer sold from 4pm-8pm on Mondays in March was donated to MOSS.
