You Make It Possible
For three decades, Montana Outdoor Science School (MOSS) has nurtured a love for nature and science in learners of all ages. Through meaningful educational experiences, we’ve welcomed newcomers to fifth-generation Montanans to explore the vibrant natural wonders of our region, fostering a lifelong passion for caring for this extraordinary place we call home.
Joining forces with Crosscut Mountain Sports Center in 2025 gave MOSS a permanent home, where every season brings transformative, place-based experiences that help children explore, learn, and connect with Montana’s natural places.
Last summer, thanks to generous community support, MOSS awarded over $14,000 in scholarships and financial support to 88 campers, giving children the chance to connect with nature, spark curiosity, and grow in confidence. With your help, we can open the door for even more children to experience the magic of the outdoors and develop a lifelong love of learning. Help us inspire the next generation of environmental stewards and outdoor adventurers.
